About Booker Winery
Booker is one of the most striking wineries to visit in Paso Robles: a modern, minimalist visitor center perched on a hilltop on the west side, with an indoor-outdoor tasting lounge that opens straight into the estate vineyards. Owner and winemaker Eric Jensen built it as a relaxed, unpretentious place to gather, its walls laid out to echo the fracture patterns in the region's chalky limestone soil. The wines, mostly Rhone-style reds plus Cabernet, are collectible and sought-after, led by the all-Syrah bottling named Fracture.
The estate is farmed to Regenerative Organic standards, and the visit is built for lingering: a vinyl lounge where you can spin records and take song requests, bocce courts, picnic areas with panoramic views to downtown Paso, and underground caves used for a top-tier tasting with Jensen's personal wine library. Reservations are required, and weekend slots book up well ahead, so plan early.
