About Bucher Wines
Bucher Wines is one of the Russian River Valley's most genuinely personal and warmly hosted small-producer experiences. John Bucher has been farming the 30+ acre Bucher Estate in the middle reach of the Russian River Valley since the family first planted in 1997 — but the agricultural roots go back 55 years, to when John's father first established the Bucher family farm in this specific corner of Sonoma County.
Winemaker Adam Lee — the founder of Siduri Wines and one of Sonoma County's most respected Pinot Noir craftsmen — has made Bucher wines since the winery's inception in 2011, working directly with John in the vineyard to ensure that the decisions made in the farming are faithfully reflected in the bottle. The result is Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of extraordinary structure and layered complexity that consistently earns praise from critics and builds devoted Founders Wine Club followings.
TripAdvisor reviewers place Bucher in the top tier of Healdsburg-area tasting experiences precisely because John and Diane host many tastings themselves — guests report the combination of genuine family warmth, insider farming knowledge, and exceptional wines makes Bucher 'the only must-do on our annual trip from Chicago.' The appointment-only format at the Grand Cru Custom Crush facility in Windsor ensures that every visit is unhurried and personal.
