Caprock Winery

Caprock Winery is one of the founding operations of the Texas High Plains wine industry, helping establish Lubbock as a serious viticulture center during a period when few believed West Texas could produce competitive wine. The winery draws from the elevated High Plains AVA — where altitude, intense sunlight, and dramatic day-night temperature swings produce grapes with concentration and natural acidity.

The production facility and tasting room serve as an anchor for wine tourism in Lubbock, offering visitors a gateway to understanding High Plains terroir before exploring the region's increasingly impressive roster of boutique producers. Caprock's scale gives it a depth of variety and vintage selection that smaller operations cannot match.
