About Carucci Wines
Carucci Wines is the definition of a bet-on-yourself family label: Eric and Lindsay Carucci started with 75 cases in 2010, grew the brand from a garage-scale operation to roughly 800 cases, and opened their own Los Olivos tasting room in 2019, building a business they hope their three children can one day take further.
Eric favors cool-climate sites across Santa Barbara County and beyond, from the Sta. Rita Hills and Los Alamos to Edna Valley and Paso Robles hillsides, fermenting cool to preserve aromatics while extracting gently. Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Grenache share the list with a distinctive Cabernet Franc whose green-chili-and-salty-strawberry profile has become a calling card.
The 499-square-foot tasting room on Grand Avenue, just before the flagpole, is small on purpose: Eric himself pours most weekends, telling you exactly why each vintage tastes the way it does, and private winery experiences in Buellton, with barrel samples straight from the source, run by appointment on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Well-behaved kids and dogs are welcome.
