About Casa Barranca Organic Winery
Casa Barranca holds a genuine first: it is the first certified organic winery in the Santa Barbara region, producing wines from organic and biodynamic grapes using traditional gravity-flow methods. Its laid-back tasting room sits inside downtown Ojai's historic Arcade, the colonnaded heart of the village.
The colonial-style room pours a five-wine organic flight that typically runs from one of the region's better Pinot Noirs through Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, sipped at the bar or nearby tables amid the Arcade's shops.
Its downtown position makes it the easiest pairing in Ojai wine: steps from The Ojai Vineyard's firehouse room, bookshops and restaurants, no car required between pours.
