About Cast Wines
Cast Wines is one of Dry Creek Valley's most distinctive and adventurous small producers. The name refers to the 'cast' of characters who contribute to each wine, growers, farmers, winemakers, and terroir, all playing their role in the final result.
Founded in 2008, Cast focuses on Rhône and Italian varietals alongside more conventional Dry Creek Valley offerings, Grenache, Vermentino, Sangiovese, and Aglianico alongside Zinfandel and Cabernet. The Sommelierschoiceawards.com listing specifically calls Cast 'enchanting' and notes that it's been delighting visitors in Dry Creek Valley for years.
The tasting room tucked into the forest on Dry Creek Road creates an unusually intimate and cool atmosphere, a genuine contrast to the more sun-exposed estates further up the valley. The combination of adventurous varietal choices, forest setting, and dog-friendly welcome makes Cast one of Dry Creek's most distinctive discovery stops.
Cast Wines presents a featured lineup that includes Grenache, Vermentino, Zinfandel, and Aglianico. Together, these bottles provide a focused introduction to the varieties, vineyard sources, and style that define the winery's current portfolio.
