About Cast Wines
Cast Wines is one of Dry Creek Valley's most distinctive and adventurous small producers. The name refers to the 'cast' of characters who contribute to each wine — growers, farmers, winemakers, and terroir — all playing their role in the final result.
Founded in 2008, Cast focuses on Rhône and Italian varietals alongside more conventional Dry Creek Valley offerings — Grenache, Vermentino, Sangiovese, and Aglianico alongside Zinfandel and Cabernet. The Sommelierschoiceawards.com listing specifically calls Cast 'enchanting' and notes that it's been delighting visitors in Dry Creek Valley for years.
The tasting room tucked into the forest on Dry Creek Road creates an unusually intimate and cool atmosphere — a genuine contrast to the more sun-exposed estates further up the valley. The combination of adventurous varietal choices, forest setting, and dog-friendly welcome makes Cast one of Dry Creek's most distinctive discovery stops.
Cast Wines presents a featured lineup that includes Grenache, Vermentino, Zinfandel, and Aglianico. Together, these bottles provide a focused introduction to the varieties, vineyard sources, and style that define the winery's current portfolio.
"Tucked into the forest in beautiful Dry Creek Valley — Cast produces small-batch Rhône and Italian varietals in a charming, intimate setting that draw"

Featured Wines
Grenache
Grenache
Silky, bright Grenache showing the Mediterranean character that thrives in Dry Creek Valley's warm, sheltered microclimate — one of Cast's signature adventurous varietal choices.
★★★★☆
Vermentino
Vermentino
A Sardinian white variety in Dry Creek Valley — aromatic, citrusy, and showing what adventurous planting choices can produce in California's most Mediterranean-climate appellation.
★★★★☆
Zinfandel
Zinfandel
Cast's interpretation of the valley's classic varietal — made in the house style of brightness and food-compatibility rather than extraction and power.
★★★★★
Aglianico
Aglianico
A rare California Aglianico — the Southern Italian variety that makes Taurasi, transplanted to the Dry Creek Valley. Dark, structured, and genuinely unlike anything else in the valley.
A relaxed tasting in the forest-tucked Dry Creek Valley setting — Rhône and Italian varietals in a genuinely enchanting environment. Dogs and families welcome on the picnic grounds.
