About Cordant Winery
Cordant Winery takes its name from a musical concept — the harmonics of chord and accord, suggesting wines that achieve harmonic balance between their competing elements: fruit and acid, richness and freshness, power and elegance. The musical naming declares that balance in wine, like balance in music, is not a compromise but an achievement.
The Anderson Road estate in El Pomar District produces Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah from calcareous east-side Paso Robles soils with a winemaking philosophy that pursues the harmonic balance the name promises. The cordant wines are generous in the way that Paso Robles can be, but balanced in the way that good winemaking ensures.
The daily walk-in tasting room is dog-friendly, picnic-welcoming, and family-hospitable — the musical harmony extended as Central Coast accessibility.
