About Dolin Malibu Estate Vineyards
Dolin Malibu Estate Vineyards is a boutique Malibu Coast winery in Los Angeles County, founded by Elliott and Lynn Dolin. The label grew out of a small Chardonnay vineyard Elliott planted behind their Malibu home in the mid-2000s, and it became one of the leading producers of the Malibu Coast AVA, which gained appellation status in 2014.
The estate is best known for Malibu Coast Chardonnay grown on a steep, south-facing, ocean-influenced site with volcanic Zuma soils. To broaden the range, the Dolins also make Central Coast Pinot Noir, working with veteran winemaker Kirby Anderson and sourcing from acclaimed Santa Barbara and Santa Maria Valley vineyards such as Bien Nacido, Talley Rincon and Solomon Hills, along with occasional Bordeaux-style reds.
Dolin is a small, estate-focused label rather than a Paso Robles winery, and visits are typically by appointment. Because it is a boutique operation, it is best to contact the winery directly to arrange a tasting and confirm current availability.
