About Dover Canyon Winery
Dover Canyon is the small westside winery of Dan Panico, a former Eberle winemaker who struck out on his own in the 1990s to make small-lot Rhone wines and Zinfandel from the oak-canyon country along Vineyard Drive. The rustic, dog-friendly tasting room became a cult favorite for its unhurried charm and the resident pups as much as the wines.
Panico's lineup leans on westside fruit handled with a light, personal touch, and the winery's certified wildlife-habitat grounds underline the canyon setting. It is a classic of Paso's first boutique generation.
