About Elusa Winery
Elusa Winery sits on the grounds of the Four Seasons Resort Napa Valley in Calistoga, which the winery describes as making it the only resort-located winery in Napa Valley. Grapes have grown on the property since 2010, but the winery did not release or sell any vintages commercially until summer 2021, when its tasting room opened to guests on September 1, 2021.
Winemaking has been shaped by two names familiar to Napa Cabernet drinkers: Kirk Venge crafted Elusa's first two vintages, and Thomas Rivers Brown, known for his work at Turley Wine Cellars and as co-owner of Rivers-Marie, has served as consulting winemaker since the 2012 vintage. The estate's 4.7-acre vineyard was replanted entirely to Cabernet Sauvignon between 2018 and 2020, and the winery also sources Calistoga fruit from Kenefick Ranch, Lantz, Luvisi, Tofanelli and Lindquist vineyards.
Elusa calls itself the only resort-located winery in Napa Valley, making about 3,000 cases a year from its Calistoga estate.
