About Fe Wines
Fe Wines takes its name from the chemical symbol for iron — a reference to the iron-rich soils that define many of Napa Valley's finest vineyard sites. The project produces small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon and a seasonal Rosé, with a focus on wines that express the mineral character of their terroir. The approach is artisanal and personal, with every bottle reflecting the winemaker's hands-on involvement.
The Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from vineyards with notable iron content in their soils, which contributes a distinctive savory quality and firm tannic structure. Aging in French oak adds polish and aromatic complexity. The Rosé is made from saignée — bled off from the Cabernet fermentation — producing a wine with the depth of a red and the freshness of a white. Both wines are made in tiny quantities.
Fe Wines pours at their First Street tasting room in Napa. The intimate space reflects the artisanal nature of the project, with tastings that feel more like private visits to a winemaker's cellar than commercial tasting room experiences.
