About Foot Path Winery
Foot Path is the small end of Temecula Valley. Deane and Christine run it themselves, make the wine themselves, and have built a reputation as the antidote to the valley's larger, busier estates.
The list is unusually narrow: reds only, no whites at all. Everything is made on site by the two of them rather than bought in or contracted out.
The property matches the approach. It is not manicured the way the bigger wineries are - mature trees, lawn chairs set out on the grass, a small area to sit with whatever you have just bought. Visitors consistently describe it as feeling more like drinking at someone's home than working through a tasting menu, and Deane is usually the one pouring and talking.
One quiet bonus of the location: hot air balloons launch nearby in the early morning, so an overnight or an early visit can come with the balloons going up over the vines.
