About Girardet Vineyards
Girardet Vineyards is one of the Umpqua Valley's founding wineries, established in 1971 by Swiss-born Philippe Girardet, who pioneered plantings of Baco Noir that became the estate's signature. Now run by the second generation, the winery produces one of Oregon's most acclaimed Baco Noirs alongside Pinot Noir, Riesling, and other estate wines.
The tasting room sits among fifty-year-old vines in the hills west of Roseburg, where the family's Swiss heritage and decades of farming show in every pour. Wine lovers seeking something beyond Pinot make the pilgrimage specifically for the legendary Baco.
