Gold Hill farms history's neighborhood: the estate sits near Coloma's gold-discovery country above the American River, where the Toft family planted vines and, unusually, added a craft brewery beside the winery, pouring estate Cabernet, Chardonnay and foothill reds with pub taps for the beer-inclined.
