About Jeff Runquist Wines
Jeff Runquist is one of the Sierra Foothills' most decorated winemakers, a veteran of decades in California cellars who built his eponymous label on single-vineyard reds marked with his signature R, none more famous than his Amador Barbera, a perennial gold-medal machine. The Shenandoah Valley tasting room pours a wide roster of small lots from vineyards across the state.
Runquist's style is unapologetically fruit-forward, polished and generous, and the competition record, cases of double golds across varieties from Petite Sirah to Charbono, made the R a foothill trust mark. Crowd-pleasing done at a craftsman's level.
