About Klau Mine Wine
Klau Mine takes its name from one of west Paso's most storied landmarks: the historic Klau mercury mine in the Adelaida hills, part of a mining district that made the area a commercial hub as far back as the 1870s. The small label works fruit from the same rugged west-side country the miners once worked for cinnabar.
Production is boutique-scale and records are modest, but the name alone carries a genuine piece of Adelaida history, the frontier era that preceded vines on these slopes. We will expand this profile as details are verified.
