About Kokomo Wines Healdsburg
Kokomo Wines is Erik Miller's Dry Creek Valley winery at Timber Crest Farms on Dry Creek Road outside Healdsburg, named for his Indiana hometown rather than the Beach Boys song. Miller founded the winery in 2004 after a harvest internship at Belvedere Winery convinced the Purdue graduate to trade financial planning for the cellar. Fourth-generation Dry Creek farmer Randy Peters became his partner in 2008, and the grower-winemaker pact defines the house: Peters farms the benchland fruit, Miller makes the wine.
The lineup spans Dry Creek Zinfandel, Russian River Pinot Noir and Alexander Valley Cabernet among a dozen-plus varietals, consistently earning 90-plus ratings and gold medals at approachable prices. The tasting room sits inside the working cellar, decorated with Kokomo, Indiana memorabilia. Note: this producer also appears in our catalog as Kokomo Winery; both entries describe the same Timber Crest Farms winery.
