About Krutz Family Cellars
Krutz Family Cellars began as a hobby in the summer of 2003, when Patrick Krutz made just sixty cases of wine in Monterey County, intending only to share it with family and friends. His passion for wine traced back to a Carmel cheese shop, where the family first fell for wine and where Patrick learned the craft alongside some of Monterey's best wineries. Demand quickly outgrew the hobby, and in 2011 his brothers Bryan and Cole joined as owners, relocating the now family-owned winery to Sonoma County.
A magnolia flower, the state flower of the family's native Mississippi, appears on every bottle as a nod to their Southern roots and their way of life: true, honest and fun. The wines are single-vineyard-focused reds and whites, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, sourced from some of the most prestigious vineyards across Northern California, with Cole Krutz now handling the winemaking.
Visits, based in Santa Rosa, are by appointment and generously personal: a member of the family walks you through current releases, library wines and barrel samples, all served with genuine Southern hospitality.
