About Lucas Vineyards
Lucas Vineyards is the oldest winery on Cayuga Lake, founded in 1980 by the Lucas family and still anchored by three generations of them today. What began as a grape-growing operation, selling fruit to the old Taylor Wine Company, grew into an estate winery that has become a genuine Finger Lakes favorite, drawing more than 60,000 visitors a year to its hillside tasting room.
The estate farms roughly 35 acres of vines and produces around 23,000 cases across a deliberately wide, approachable range. Lucas is best known for its playful, nautical-themed wines, the crowd-favorite Tug Boat Red and the Nautie line, alongside estate vinifera like Dry Riesling and Cayuga White, methode champenoise sparkling, iced wines, sangria, and some of the region's most popular wine slushies.
Beyond the glass, the property offers stunning views of Cayuga Lake, gardens, an outdoor picnic area, lawn games, and one of the area's largest gift shops. Free Thursday-evening 'Nautie Summer Nights' live music rounds out a relaxed, family- and pet-friendly atmosphere that keeps visitors coming back.
