About Macari Vineyards
Macari farms Mattituck like a conviction: the family estate's regenerative program, compost teas, cover crops, Sound-bluff biodiversity, feeds one of the fork's most acclaimed portfolios, the Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc long critical darlings.
Second-generation leadership and a stylish tasting room complete the island's soil-first showcase. Farming as the argument.
Macari continues to push the North Fork’s farming frontier with organic and biodynamic practices and no herbicides on the former potato farm the family first planted in 1995. Winemaker Byron Elmendorf, aboard since 2020, has steered the cellar toward wild ferments and lees aging, and in 2022 the family renovated its Cutchogue tasting room into Meadowlark, a designed wine bar and events space.
