About Marshall Stuart Wines

Marshall Stuart Wines is the personal label of one of Temecula Valley's most experienced winemakers. A soil-grading contractor turned vintner, Marshall Stuart purchased and planted 40 acres in the valley in 1994 and founded Stuart Cellars, which he ran until selling in 2011, then spent years crafting wine for Lorimar Vineyards & Winery before launching his own name with his wife Shannon.

His approach starts literally in the dirt: a self-developed program of soil amendments and organic pest control he calls bioganics, paired with modern farming equipment and decades of intuition about Temecula fruit. The portfolio runs from crisp whites and vibrant roses through bold reds like Petit Verdot, Zinfandel, Malbec and Montepulciano, plus sparkling wines, dessert bottlings and even wine slushies at the tasting bar.

The tasting room sits in Vail Headquarters on Temecula Parkway, a rustic historic ranch site with boutique shops, a blacksmith, a brewery next door and families picnicking to live music on weekends. It is an easygoing, walk-up setting where the wines stay approachable and well priced, and where the man behind decades of Temecula winemaking often gets poured by name.

The founder of Stuart Cellars pours his own approachable, soil-first wines at historic Vail Headquarters.
