Martha Stoumen Wines is one of the most exciting small producers in California natural wine, and 2025 marked a major milestone: the opening of her first dedicated tasting room, steps from the Healdsburg Plaza. The Press Democrat featured it in their Best New Sonoma County Tasting Rooms of 2025, noting that while her label was acquired by The Overshine Collective, Martha retains equity and creative control over her wines.
Martha Stoumen trained in Italy and brings a distinctly Italian sensibility to California — producing field blends, Nero d'Avola, and other Italian-inspired wines from Mendocino County and North Coast fruit with minimal sulfur and zero herbicides. She was named Wine & Spirits Winemaker of the Year and her wines appear on some of California's most acclaimed restaurant wine lists.
The Healdsburg tasting room is warmly received as an inviting spot combining Martha's direct hospitality with the opportunity to finally taste her wines — which were previously available only through restaurants and retail — in the winery context.
At its Mendocino County, Sonoma County location, Martha Stoumen Wines presents a featured lineup that includes Post Flud, Capo Fiume, Nero d'Avola, and Field Recordings. Together, these bottles provide a focused introduction to the varieties, vineyard sources, and style that define the winery's current portfolio.
