About McFadden Farm Wines
Guinness McFadden left Navy service and business school for Potter Valley in 1970, pioneering organic farming in the high, cold valley where his ranch grows celebrated Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, plus the wild rice, herbs and garlic braids that made McFadden Farm a household grocery name.
The farm's wines carry Potter Valley's bright acidity, and the Hopland tasting room pours them beside the famous farm goods. One of Mendocino's great originals, organic before organic paid.
