About Minassian-Young Vineyard
Minassian-Young Vineyard hyphenates two surnames of different cultural heritage — Minassian (Armenian) and Young (English) — in a partnership declaration that is also a cultural diversity statement. Dave Minassian's Armenian heritage and Andrew Young's English heritage meet at the hyphen, both names equally present on every bottle of Adelaida District Grenache and Syrah.
The Adelaida District estate produces Grenache and Syrah from calcareous limestone west-side Paso Robles vineyards with the careful, personal approach that small partnership estates at their best exemplify. The hyphenated dual-heritage naming means both partners' cultural backgrounds and both partners' winemaking judgment are present in every bottle.
The appointment-only format keeps the scale appropriate to a partnership boutique whose identity is two people's hyphenated surnames.
