About Miraflores Winery
Miraflores brought polish to El Dorado's Pleasant Valley: founder Victor Alvarez, a physician, built the stone-and-timber estate and secured one of the Sierra's most respected winemakers, Marco Cappelli, whose Napa pedigree includes long tenure at Swanson, to craft estate Zinfandel, Barbera, Rhone varieties and celebrated dessert wines from the high granite ranch.
Cappelli's precision lifted the whole neighborhood's reputation, and the estate's olive oil and grounds complete a genteel visit. Foothill fruit, finishing-school technique.
