About Myriad Cellars
Myriad Cellars is a small-production Cabernet Sauvignon house founded by winemaker Mike Smith, who released his first vintage in 2005 after relocating to Napa Valley in 2004. Smith trained under noted winemaker Thomas Brown, completing three harvests with him and working stints at Schrader Cellars, Maybach, and Outpost before launching his own label.
Rather than farming a single estate, Myriad sources fruit from a rotating set of top Napa vineyard sites, including Spring Mountain (its founding source), Stags Leap District, Rutherford, Oakville, and Calistoga, with access to Beckstoffer's celebrated To Kalon and Dr. Crane vineyards. Smith describes his approach as vintage-driven rather than formulaic, and personally handles all cellar work himself.
