About Oakville Ranch Winery
Oakville Ranch was founded in 1989 when Bob and Mary Miner bought a 370-acre property in the eastern hills above Oakville and produced their first vintage that same year. Bob, a co-founder of the company that became Oracle, died in 1994; his wife Mary has run the estate ever since.
Perched about 1,000 feet above the valley floor, mostly within the Oakville AVA, with a small section reaching into neighboring Pritchard Hill, the property has roughly 70 planted acres of CCOF-certified organic, Bordeaux-variety vineyards farmed by Phil Coturri since 2007. Annual production is kept to under 1,000 cases across five wines, and the winery is not open to the public except by prior appointment.
Oakville Ranch farms its steep, 1,000-foot hillside vineyard organically and caps production at under 1,000 cases a year.
