About O'Shaughnessy Estate Winery
O'Shaughnessy Estate Winery traces its roots to 1990, when Betty O'Shaughnessy acquired 32 acres of Oakville vineyard land. Working with winemaker Sean Capiaux over the following decade, the operation expanded to Howell Mountain, releasing its first wine from that mountain vineyard in 2003.
The winery's primary estate is a 120-acre Howell Mountain property that includes 42 acres of mature, roughly 30-year-old vines and estate wine caves; the broader O'Shaughnessy portfolio also draws on additional Napa Valley sites in Oakville and Mount Veeder. Farming is organic, and the winery describes an 'unhurried' approach built around each vineyard's distinct expression of place.
