About Old Creek Ranch Winery
Old Creek Ranch Winery is Ventura County's only rural winery, set on an 850-acre working cattle ranch in the hills between Ventura and Ojai, where a winery has stood since the late 1800s and the current operation dates to 1981. After a multi-year renovation the ranch reemerged as a destination in its own right.
Guests spread across landscaped grounds of semi-private seating areas, handcrafted lounge chairs and fire pits, working through a six-wine flight ($30) with the mountains close on every side; newly replanted estate vines are returning vineyards to the property for the first time in decades.
Open Thursday through Monday 11 to 5 with reservations recommended, the ranch welcomes leashed dogs but notably not children ages 3 to 12, making it a deliberately grown-up escape ten minutes from both downtown Ventura and Ojai.
