About Ponzi Vineyards

Dick and Nancy Ponzi planted their vines in 1970, making Ponzi one of Willamette wine's founding families, and the succession became the story: daughters Luisa, the acclaimed longtime winemaker, and Maria, the president, ran the house for decades as Oregon's model of second-generation excellence, before Champagne Bollinger's family company acquired the estate in 2021, its first venture outside France.

The Laurelwood District estate, an AVA the Ponzis championed, produces silky, structured Pinot Noir and reference-point Chardonnay and Pinot Gris; the family also famously co-founded Oregon's craft beer movement via BridgePort Brewing. Founding blood, French vote of confidence.

A 1970 founding family whose daughters built the benchmark, now Bollinger's first home outside Champagne.
