About Ranchero Cellars

Ranchero is the independent label of Amy Butler, a veteran winemaker who honed her craft in Paso cellars, including time alongside Torrin's Scott Hawley, before building one of the region's most distinctive small houses. Butler championed unfashionable grapes with conviction, making Carignan a signature long before it was cool, alongside Grenache and characterful whites like Viognier.

The wines favor freshness, savory edges and drinkability over sheer mass, a deliberate counterpoint to westside power, and Butler's status as one of Paso's pioneering women winemaker-owners gives the label added significance. Small production keeps everything personal.

Amy Butler's independent house of savory Carignan and fresh Grenache, a pioneering woman-owned counterpoint to westside power.
