RareCat is a négociant-style producer sourcing single-vineyard fruit from multiple Napa Valley sub-AVAs rather than farming one estate.

Harris, who trained at the University of Bordeaux and earlier founded Amici Cellars in 1992, launched RareCat in 2009. Tastings are by appointment at Grove 45 Olive Oil in Calistoga, a venue RareCat has used since early 2023.
