About Raul Ramirez Winery
Raul Ramirez Winery sits on a hilltop above Winchester in the Temecula Valley wine region, founded by Raul Ramirez in tribute to his family's journey from Queretaro, Mexico, where his father Serafin first emigrated through the World War II Bracero program. The Gran Reserva line carries the name Don Porfirio, honoring the grandfather whose old world work ethic shaped Raul's own drive.
The winery focuses almost exclusively on Spanish varietals, with a single block of legacy Chardonnay vines left from the property's earlier stewards, and pours from a 360 degree hilltop panorama that takes in the stables housing Raul's prized Andalusian horses. Tastings rotate through a monthly menu alongside personalized selections, open Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 6pm with reservations encouraged.
