About Repris Wines
Repris Wines sits high on the historic Moon Mountain Vineyard, perched in the eastern hills above Sonoma Valley on a site whose winegrowing legacy dates back to the 1880s. Proprietor Jim Momtazee describes his mission as being a faithful steward of this special mountain property, crafting wines of place and purpose that reflect its rugged, high-elevation character.
The estate reds are balanced and elegant, made in Bordeaux and Rhone styles, a flagship, critically acclaimed Moon Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, plus Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel and more, alongside a Sauvignon Blanc. Most wines are reserved for members and for guests on the day of their visit.
And what a visit it is: the full experience includes a tour of the winery and its extensive caves and, weather permitting, an ATV ride up through the vineyards to taste grapes straight off the vine, capped by a tasting in a tower overlooking the valley with panoramic views toward San Francisco. Visits are by appointment only.
