The Rue family has farmed their Wood Road property since the 1990s, dry-farming heritage Zinfandel vines with minimal intervention and bottling the results at prices that reflect their belief that great wine should be accessible.
The Wine Road of Sonoma County includes Robert Rue Vineyard as a member, and the estate is one of the last genuinely $15-tasting small producers in the Russian River Valley. Weekend appointment-only visits connect visitors directly with the family, creating the kind of personal, farm-gate experience that has almost entirely disappeared from mainstream wine tourism.
