About RuVango Winery
RuVango Winery pours on one of Carneros' most storied pieces of ground: the Dealy Lane estate where Francis Mahoney, the clone obsessed founder of Carneros Creek Winery, planted Pinot Noir in 1972 and helped prove what the district could do. Michael Mondavi wrote the next chapter here beginning in 2004, and today the property carries the RuVango name, pouring estate Carneros Chardonnay and Pinot alongside Cabernet, rose and sparkling wine.
The tasting room doubles as a fine art gallery with a rotating exhibit, recently featuring original works by Salvador Dali alongside pieces from a Beverly Hills gallery, which makes the visit equal parts vineyard view and museum stop. It is open daily from 10:30am to 5pm, family and dog friendly, takes large groups, and pours wine by the glass or bottle if you would rather skip the flight. Reservations are encouraged but walk-ins work.
