Saison Winery brings fine-dining pedigree to the Santa Cruz Mountains: winemaker Mark Bright approaches the appellation's vineyards through the lens of his love and expertise in Burgundy, cultivating, harvesting, and aging small-lot, single-vineyard wines that reflect the terroir where they're grown. The fruit comes from some of the finest sites in the mountains, with the winery working alongside growers from growing season through cellar.

The pedigree runs deep - Saison Winery is part of Saison Hospitality, the group behind two-Michelin-starred, Wine Spectator Grand Award-winning Saison in San Francisco, Michelin-starred Angler, the Saison Wine Bar and Cellars, and the rare-wine brokerage Saison Cellar. That restaurant-world obsession with sourcing and precision carries straight into the bottles.

Tasting happens in an inviting downtown Los Gatos room at 346 N Santa Cruz Ave, open Thursday through Sunday from 2 to 8 - unusually evening-friendly hours for wine country. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations available, with parties larger than four asked to email ahead. A wine club unlocks exclusive bottlings, and the room hosts private events.
