About Silenus Winery

Silenus Winery closed its tasting room in 2024 after the property's owners put the business up for sale; its remaining wine inventory has since sold out and the site is no longer open to visitors. The vineyard itself dates to 1968, when it was planted to Cabernet Sauvignon on what had been a walnut orchard, with fruit long sold to Robert Mondavi, Inglenook, and Silver Oak.

Bob Williamson relaunched the site as Silenus Winery in 2007 as a custom-crush facility and shared tasting room representing more than a dozen boutique Napa brands, under Meijing Group ownership since 2010. Anyone interested in the property's history or the Oak Knoll District wines once poured here should check current sources before planning a visit, since the tasting room is closed.
