About Silverado Vineyards
Silverado Vineyards was founded in 1981 by Ron Miller, former president and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, his wife Diane Disney Miller, and her mother Lillian Disney, on a Stags Leap District hillside that was one of the first four sites in the district planted to Cabernet Sauvignon in the 1960s.
In 2022, Bill and Carol Foley of Foley Wine Estates purchased Silverado Vineyards from the Miller family. The estate farms roughly 300 acres across six vineyards in five Napa Valley AVAs, including the Disney-Silverado Heritage Clone, a UC Davis-designated Cabernet Sauvignon selection that developed on the property's steep, shale-based soils; winemaker Jon Emmerich has led the program since the early 1990s.
