About Soliste Cellars
Soliste Cellars is a microscopic-production, Old-World-minded winery born of friendship in Sonoma's Russian River Valley. It's a collaboration between Elisabeth and Claude Koeberle and Beth and Donald Plumley, two couples whose dogs became friends first, and it began in 2005 with a mere 143 cases of Pinot Noir from a Sonoma Coast vineyard, made really just for friends and family, that quickly became a sommelier sensation.
Claude, a native of Burgundy who calls himself a vigneron rather than a winemaker, is utterly devoted to Burgundian ideals. That devotion drives Soliste's signature MonoClone program: every Pinot Noir is made from a single clone, from a single vineyard, aged in a single cooperage, the ultimate snapshot of place and time, rare even at Burgundy's grand crus.
The wines, sourced from exceptional Sonoma Coast and Russian River sites, are Old World in style and widely acclaimed, and include Chardonnay and a Sancerre-inspired Sauvignon Blanc. Tastings are intimate and by appointment, an elegant, French-accented experience.
