About St. Innocent Winery
St. Innocent Winery was founded in May 1988 by winemaker Mark Vlossak, who still personally handcrafts every bottle. A pioneering Willamette Valley producer, it built its reputation on food-friendly, single-vineyard-designated Pinot Noir drawn from some of the most esteemed vineyard sites in northern Oregon.
Mark's philosophy is that a wine's job is to complement and extend the pleasure of a meal, and his single-vineyard bottlings capture a sense of place from famous sites including Freedom Hill, Shea, Momtazi, Temperance Hill, and Zenith, a set of five great vineyards St. Innocent was once the only winery to vinify all of. In 2018 the winery purchased a 47-acre property in the South Salem Hills, planted 15 acres of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as the Enchanted Way estate vineyard, and completed a new winery and tasting room in 2019. Production runs around 10,000 cases and spans Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and a well-regarded sparkling, poured in a tasting room with a viewing window onto the working floor and a seasonal food menu curated to pair with the wines.
Hours, tasting fees, and reservation policies change with the season, so it is worth checking the winery's website or calling ahead before you visit, especially on weekends. The details on this profile may have shifted since publication, and the producer is always the most authoritative source.
Wine's job is to extend the pleasure of a meal.
