About St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery
St. Supéry takes its name from Edward St. Supéry, a French winemaker who owned this Rutherford property around 1900. Third-generation French vintner Robert Skalli, whose family's wine business traced back to Algeria in the 1920s, bought the Dollarhide Ranch in Napa's Pope Valley in 1982, added the Rutherford parcel in 1986, and opened the St. Supéry winery to the public in 1989.
Chanel, the French luxury house, acquired St. Supéry in 2015, its first winery purchase in the United States. In April 2026, St. Supéry expanded further by acquiring Oakville's Rudd Estate. St. Supéry remains a 100% estate-grown winery, farming its own Dollarhide and Rutherford vineyards and growing close to 10% of all Sauvignon Blanc planted in Napa Valley.
