About St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery
St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery takes its name from Étienne Théophile Supéry, a French immigrant from Burgundy who acquired the Dollarhide Ranch property on Pope Valley in 1882. The current estate honors that founding French heritage by placing the saint's honorific before his name, creating a wine identity that connects California viticulture to its French antecedents.
The French Skalli family acquired the estate in 1982 and developed what remains one of Rutherford's most innovative programs: a winery dedicated to exploring both Bordeaux and Sauvignon Blanc varieties alongside the Dollarhide Ranch's 1,500-acre estate in the Napa mountains. The estate-grown, organically farmed Sauvignon Blanc has been particularly acclaimed — a rare example of truly estate-grown Sauvignon Blanc in a valley dominated by Cabernet.
Wine Spectator scores St. Supéry's Dollarhide Ranch Cabernet and estate Sauvignon Blanc at 89–92 points. The daily walk-in on Saint Helena Highway includes an art gallery and an educational discovery center.
