Anthony Vietri is widely credited as a trailblazer of modern Pennsylvania wine: from his family’s century-old Avondale farm in Chester County mushroom country he makes small-production field blends of four to nine Italian varieties, all estate grown and fermented. His La Prima Donna was among the earliest skin-macerated whites made in America, long before orange wine became a trend. The wines sell only at the farm - tastings Friday through Sunday by reservation in the century-old barn.
