About Viaggio Estate & Winery
Viaggio, Italian for journey, is a secluded 23-acre estate set among vineyards and walnut orchards along a curve of the Mokelumne River in Acampo. The former Taddei walnut farm has been transformed into one of Lodi's most scenic destinations, with Tuscan-inspired styling, expansive lawns, and river views.
The wines span old vine Zinfandel, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, sparkling, and a late-harvest Zinfandel dessert wine. Tastings are offered as flights, and there is far more than wine on offer: a wood-fired brick-oven pizza kitchen, live music, seasonal wine slushies, and estate-made olive oil.
Viaggio is a major events destination and a popular wedding venue, and it is both dog-friendly and family-friendly. On a warm afternoon, a glass by the river with the lawns stretched out around you is hard to beat.
