About Vitagliano Winery

Vitagliano is a family estate three generations deep. Guy Vitagliano came from Santa Maria on Salina, one of the Aeolian Islands off Sicily, with the intention of bringing Italy's wines to America; his family established the Temecula estate in 2007 and still runs it.

The plantings follow from that. The estate is worked to Super Tuscan-style varietals rather than the valley's default Chardonnay and Cabernet, with Dolcetto, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio and Muscat Canelli across just over ten planted acres of an eighteen-acre hillside property.

The grounds do a lot of the work here. Walking paths run through the site past a large pond with koi and fountains, and there are shaded corners and group tables with fire features looking out over the valley. It doubles as a wedding venue, which is what the landscaping is really built for.

Food is a full operation rather than a cheese plate: a chef-led menu running from small plates to entrees and desserts, with a children's menu, gluten-free and vegetarian options. Live music plays every weekend, alongside midweek line dancing and game nights.

The winery welcomes children when accompanied by an adult, and well-behaved dogs on a lead.

Three generations from the Aeolian Islands, Super Tuscan varietals, and a koi pond you can walk around.
