About Wilson Family Winery
Wilson Family Winery is a small, family-owned winery just outside Lodi, run by the husband-and-wife team of JR and Krystal Wilson. Both trained as chiropractors, and after years running their practice together they turned a decade-long home-winemaking hobby into a second business. JR is a native Lodian whose family has grown wine grapes in the region for three generations.
The wines are small-lot and hand-crafted, with a lineup of whites and reds and a signature sense of humor: bottlings tend to be a play on words, and there are wine slushies for hot Lodi weekends. The unpretentious tasting room is about enjoying the region's wines without fuss.
This is a genuinely kid-friendly winery, a rarity as many Lodi tasting rooms become adults-only. There is plenty of outdoor seating and a lawn with cornhole to keep younger visitors busy while the grown-ups taste.
