About Yates Cellars
Yates Cellars is a small winery on Route 54A, on the western branch of Keuka Lake outside Penn Yan. Visitors consistently single out the building itself, a striking house, as part of what makes the stop memorable.
The range includes a wine called Metamorphosis that draws particular comment from guests. As with many of the smaller Keuka producers, the scale is modest and the experience is personal rather than processed.
Visiting
On Route 54A between Penn Yan and Branchport, a stretch that takes in several Keuka Lake wineries. Because this is a small operation, check current hours before setting out.
Yates Cellars sits on Keuka Lake, the Y-shaped lake at the heart of the Finger Lakes and the birthplace of commercial winemaking in the region.
