About Amizetta Estate Winery
Amizetta Estate Winery was founded in 1979 when Spencer and Amizetta Clark purchased 40 steep, rocky acres in the Conn Valley hills near the base of Howell Mountain, at roughly 1,000 feet elevation with views of Lake Hennessey. Family friend Justin Meyer, founder of Silver Oak Cellars, advised on building the winery, and the first commercial release came in 1983.
All Amizetta wines are grown solely on the estate's own hillside vineyards, planted in part from cuttings of the renowned Martha's Vineyard. The Clark family still owns the winery, with head winemaker Edward Sturm working the same south-facing slopes he grew up on.
